In this vibrant and lively three day tapestry weaving workshop taught by Caron Penney, students will work with primary, secondary and tertiary colours. The group will be encouraged to develop an enquiry into colour theory and implement this learning via the technique of blending.
You will also be encouraged to use blending to achieve subtle transparant effects, seeing one colour appear through another. By the end of the workshop you will have completed a small/medium tapestry sample.
The group will work on pre-warped frames, either provided by the tutor or if you prefer you can bring your own frame. There will be a stock of wools available to students, all equipment will be available to borrow. If you would like to buy some equipment and wools this will be available to you at the end of the workshop.
This course is for four students only and will take place in Weftfaced’s own tapestry studio at Mill Studio in Arundel.
