The latest Artist interview is on Cos Ahmet entitled ‘Something made by hand’.

Artist Cos Ahmet works with woven tapestry to create unique sculptural works, juxtaposing ancient and contemporary techniques. Cos recently received the prestigious Theo Moorman Trust for Weavers Award and, in 2015, created a site-specific installation at a textile mill in Manchester where he completed a Fabric Residency.

In this revealing interview, Cos shares his earliest memory of being drawn to textiles – one that ends with his finger being punctured by a sewing machine needle – and explains how his imagination has been captured by textiles. In this interview you can share in the innovative and exciting ways that Cos has taken woven tapestry into previously unexplored realms.
