The Tapestry Special Interest Group
The Tapestry Special Interest Group meets four times a year: March, June, September and December, at 11:00 on the Saturday mornings preceding the afternoon Guild meetings at St. Stephens House.
The purpose of the group is to explore, share and have fun with all things Tapestry related.
This is a new group so we are still working out our aims. The thinking so far is to look at different tapestry techniques; research and interpret individual tapestry weavers; explore geographic regions; swap exhibition, event and workshop news, and anything else we can think of.
Each meeting will have a theme which we will go away and explore and bring what we have found and done to the next meeting. The group is informal and open to all abilities and experience and appreciates whatever each member is able to contribute to each session.
