Hand knitting – designing from nature
If you are interested in learning how to knit Intarsia there are a few places left on Sasha Kagan’s 3-day workshop at West Dean on 6 to 9 June.
British hand knitwear designer Sasha Kagan is a name synonymous with hand knits and crochet. Using best-quality yarns and fibres, and innovative knitting techniques, she regularly designs Intarsia and Fair Isle knitting patterns for Vogue Knitting, Rowan Yarns, Woman’s Weekly and The Knitter.
Sasha Kagan is a tutor with 40 years experience in design for hand knitting and crochet. She specializes in designs inspired by nature. She trained at Canterbury, Exeter and the Royal College of Art, London. She teaches extensively, giving workshops and master classes internationally.
Sasha will be exhibiting her work at MADE London Bloomsbury, the premier design and craft fair, 29th April – 1st May 2016. Held at Mary Ward house, a beautiful Arts and Crafts building, the event will showcase the very best of British design and craft.
Sasha will also be exhibiting at MADE West Dean, Tutton and Young’s sister event taking place in the beautiful gardens of West Dean College, Nr Chichester on 3rd – 5th June 2016. Her intarsia class will take place after the show closes.
