John Arbon Textiles will be holding their 4th annual Mill Open Weekend in June, with guided tours of the Mill and a Yarn, Tops & Sock sale.
The Mill in South Molton is one of only a handful of small-scale worsted spinning Mills still operating in the UK. John Arbon, his wife and business partner Juliet and his lovely team of Mill workers happily spend their time making their luxurious Tops and Yarns, as well as the yarns they use to knit their cosy Socks.
The Mill is not usually open to the public, so this is a great opportunity for people to see and learn about the Mill’s vintage spinning & processing machinery. Plus there will be tea and home made cakes on hand to refresh and content if needed.
Entry is FREE – it includes meeting up with John & learning all (well most) of his woolly secrets.
